How this came about

  • Dream it.

The Secret Garden was magical. Admittedly inspired by my step children who are both wildly creative, a love of thrifting and a love of all things miniature… the fairy forest began. To be clear, when we moved here last year we never thought we would be building a fairy trail…. but here we are. Flowers and plants are also a very big part, many have been recently relocated. So they are like us. New. Hopefully with love and care we can share this with our new community and visitors for years.

  • Build it.

It all begins with an idea. I teach yoga so I see the importance of meditation. Life sometimes has a way of making constant motion seem like we accomplish more. Sometimes we just need to stop. Maybe looking at tiny things will gives us a different perspective. I know meditation is really hard if for some and it can feel impossible. Walking in the woods is so therapeutic. It is a form of mediation. We just added fairies. Come enjoy the sound of the woods. We have incorporated spots along the trail to sit and relax.

  • Share it

When we relocated here I thought I knew exactly what I was going to do. Well, that did not go exactly as I thought it would. We plan - God laughs. When one door is not opening fast enough…. you walk in the woods. Well, I fell in love with our unique little forest. The rocks, mushrooms, not to mention the trees. So when my bearded iris preferred a particular wood clearing, the town of Elynton was born. (Quick back story, my step daughters aren Madelyn and Evelyn.) It is such a beautiful spot and we would love to share it with you. And if you come we hope it brings you peace.
